BOEING STEARMAN A75
The American biplane that was widely produced for the United States Army Air Force as a trainer. It was manufactured by the Stearman Aircraft Company, which later went into a holding company with Boeing and became a subsidiary of the company. During World War II, it served for both the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Navy, and was also popular with the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF). After the war, thousands of these machines were placed on the civil register and used for several different purposes, such as crop dusting, aerobatics, and air shows.
The Boeing Stearman that will be featured at LEGENDY NEBES 2024 is manufactured in 1940 under serial number 75-148, military identification number 40-1591, military serial number 3265. By the end of the war, the aircraft had flown almost 4500h. In October 1945 it was retired from the Army and registered in the US Civil Registry under the mark N61927, which it still holds today.
