CASA C-295M
Czech army transport aircraft will fly to LEGENDY NEBES! This twin-engine turboprop aircraft is used to transport people and materials for short and medium distances. It is capable of transporting up to 66 people, in case of a full complement of around 46 soldiers. In case of evacuation of wounded, it can accommodate up to 24 wounded on gurneys with expert medical escort.
CASA aircraft are produced by the Spanish division of the manufacturer AIRBUS, formerly under the name CASA, which for example also produced the original German Bü-131 Jungmann aircraft. The great advantage of this aircraft is the ability to quickly change the configuration of the cargo hold, so it can be reconfigured to carry up to three Land Rover cars, to transport soldiers or wounded, up to VIP layout.
It has been in service with the Czech Army since 2010, when the Czech Armed Forces took delivery of four aircraft from the manufacturer. In 2021, the fleet was supplemented by two more aircraft of the more modern CASA C-295MW version. Egypt is among the most important users of these transport aircraft, followed by Spain, Poland, Portugal, Brazil and Mexico.
